Hi! My name is Ben. I am a freelance videographer, editor, and animator.

I started a YouTube channel called Theoria in 2015 to create professionally produced videos about the Eastern Orthodox faith in my spare time. I am an Orthodox Theological Seminary Graduate (Saint Tikhon’s 2019), speaker (Oxford Patristic Conference, Parishes, Universities), and published author (On Gender and the Soul and several peer-reviewed journal articles). And yes, I have an episcopal blessing to do create videos and publish. :D

I hope you’ll join the community! Because I work full-time as a videographer, I am only able to devote a limited amount of time to my research, writing, and videos. My goal is to build this community to a place of sustainability so that I can travel around the world and film priests and scholars talking about the Orthodox faith – and cover other Orthodox communities around the world!

Theoria is a channel devoted to producing digestible videos and in-depth articles about the Eastern Orthodox Faith. 

Our channel is designed to make learning about the Orthodox Faith accessible – even for those who are unfamiliar with it. We respond to questions with short videos and interact with you via chats and livestreams. We are here to support you on your journey of discovery and growth in the Orthodox Faith.
